Bought this 1 1/2 years ago to keep forever but plans have changed now and I just wont drive it. This truck has been kept in a climate controlled garage year round in Northern Alabama by the original owner who considered this his baby.....Took way above average care of it..Told me no kids, no eating, no feet on carpet, etc. So absolutely no winters, no salt.... And only 79,000 original miles
This is the SLT package with all the normal goodies.....Automatic, 4 wheel drive... It has the 5.9 cummins diesel pre emission so no DEF is needed which was the last full year for that.... This has an 8ft bed and mirrors that rotate up for great view when towing something big
Because I planned to never sell, I overdid it, spared no expense and did maintenance and improvements just so I know all would be good for years without touching a thing and feel better about it....So did the following whether it needed it or not for my piece of mind:
1) Had all side and rear windows tinted and AVS window vent shield put on.
2) Added Radiator antirust and water pump lube
3) New engine oil and filter and also fuel filter
4) Flushed all brake fluid and replaced with new. Never Seize on all connections
5) Greased all on front end
6) Desulfated both batteries and they are fine
7) Rotated tires and checked out all brakes and rotors which all looked great
8) Installed mud flaps
9) Replaced front grille with new as old one had a few spots with chrome peeling off
10) Installed new bed top side rails
11) New thick rubber bed mat
12) Replaced factory light duty transfer case linkage cause its crappy with a beefed up one that wont break
13) Installed new fog lights and LED light bar on the front
14) Installed new LED lights in the back to see a trailer or back anybody off.
15)Installed new lower intermediate steering bar/u-joint to the steering box and aluminum bushings on steering column just to tighten it all up.
16) replaced track bar with the Carli brand bar.
17) Installed new steering box brace bracket to the side frame rails
18) Made better brackets for side step bars just to make them never bend down with anybodies heavy weight
19) Replaced a bunch of hardware with stainless so I would not see any rust
This truck also has a gooseneck hitch with the turnover ball and wired connector so ready to go. Also has a regular class 4 hitch. I also bought a $350 set of the factory service manuals with all you will need to work on it..... Have all the original paperwork from dealer, the brochure and window sticker along with the report when I bought it that shows it spent it's life in Alabama..... This is probably the nicest 20 year old truck you will ever see in the North or anywhere in this condition and never ever abused and only 79,000 miles. Interior is flawless, chrome wheels perfect and undercarriage unbelievable to see. I consider it a show truck really and hate to sell it but It's too much truck for me now. If you need a beautiful truck and need to tow this is half the cost of new. After 20 years of this being pampered would like to see this go to another to do the same for next 20 years....
