The truck is listed on eBay at: 1966 Dodge D100 Pickup | eBay
The work I have done on this truck is captured in 17 videos in a playlist on my youtube channel located at: I will say right up front that this truck will need body and paint if you want it to be perfect, or you can drive it as is like I have done and consider it patina.

I saw this truck sitting in the parking lot of a radiology/imaging center in Green Valley, AZ when I would take my walks. One day, I decided to stop in and ask if the truck was for sale. I hated to see such a cool old truck just sit there and go to ruin. To make a long story short, the owner and I got together and made a deal and I took the truck home with me. The previous owner told me that he had bought the car at auction in Colorado and that it had been a forest service truck. He said he drove the truck from the auction to Phoenix AZ where his brother owned a shop, and the engine was rebuilt and the trans checked over and the clutch replaced. When the truck was ready, he drove it home to Tucson, then around town a bit for the next few weeks/months (about 400 miles). He started getting heat from his HOA for too many vehicles at his house, so he decided to take the truck to Green Valley and park it at the radiology center and use it when he was in town. Apparently he owned multiple radiology centers around Arizona. Well, the plan to use the truck while he was in town did not go as planned due to pack rats. The truck was sitting outside in the parking lot, and before long, the pack rats disabled the truck by chewing wires in half. Then the tires went flat over time and the truck just sat there decaying until I saw it and asked about it.

Once I got the truck, the first task was to clean out a massive pack rat nest under the hood. The next task was to get the truck running which required replacing all the plug wires and replacing some other wires that had been chewed. Once the truck was running, the next task was to deal with the brakes where I replaced everything with new parts to include drums. At this point, I started getting help from the Classic Car Garage at Mr. Automotive. The next thing that really bothered me was that the floor of the trick has holes in it, and patches over patches. I did some research and found a guy who would make a floor kit for the truck, so I ordered one, and spoke to my friend Shannon who is a body/paint man with his shop at his house. He said that the cab would have to come off which meant basically, the truck would have to be completely disassembled. So since that had to happen, I decided to replace the wood bed with new oak planks. I made some 1/4' plywood panels to protect the new bed if you find the need to actually carry something in the bed, you know, like a pickup!. While all that work was being done, I sent the rolling frame to Lone Wolf Speed Shop and had them clean and paint the frame while there was open access to do so. It seemed like the thing to do while all the sheet metal was off the frame. I mean how many times would you get that chance? When it was time to reassemble the truck, I also decided on having a new wiring harness installed as well as having an automatic transmission with overdrive installed. With the manual trans with a granny low and the 3:91 ratio rear end, the truck would only do about 65 MPH. Now with the new trans and OD, I can run at 80 MPH with the other cars on the interstate. At this time, the OD is manually operated, but I was told that it could be made to operate automatically with a little work. The donor auto trans came from a 2001 Dodge Ram and was rebuilt before being installed which I have a receipt for. All the old trans parts can come with the truck if wanted. I also did king pins, had the instrument cluster removed and cleaned and the fuel gauge repaired. I have pictures of some of the major receipts I can send on request. Feel free to ask any questions or to request any further pictures or video.
if you are interested.
