Good news! I now have the correct title for this truck, in MY name. I will start doing some brake work as needed when the weather cooperates but, price will go up accordingly. The Reading utility body on back has been sold. If anyone is interested in this super clean body, let me know ASAP...
Could be the shift solenoid or pressure solenoid. Someone makes a kit that has them in a set, maybe Sonnax? Try running a bottle of ATP AT-205 in the tranny first. The solenoids may just be sticking & the AT-205 may fix your problem. I've used it with great results. It's worth a try. I know...
Looking for a complete, under hood wiring harness for an 86 D-250, 318 4speed. I need the whole harness from the bulkhead connector to the ignition system, lighting etc. I would prefer one that isn't too hacked up. I have some first gen parts I would be willing to trade also. I am doing away...
I AM getting the title transferred to me. Title was signed & notarized, in the correct areas (Fortunately) by owner before he passed so I will have the title in MY name in 3-4 weeks. Reading Utility body is still on truck also.
Here are photos of the door. It's from a 76 D-100. It's not in bad shape overall. $65+shipping. I'll give the original poster until Monday to let me know if they want it.
Still up for sale. You will not find a cleaner, rot free cab & frame anywhere on the East Coast & $3000 is as low as I will go on this truck, it's that solid.
I have signed & notarized title for it.
Don, if you're still looking for a good cab, the D-250 I have has a super nice, original paint, no rot cab. I don't know how the rust situation is in Illinois but, for this truck being in the rust belt, the cab & frame are in excellent shape because it's been in a warehouse for 24+ years. I know...
Truck is now being parted out unfortunately. I have a lot of time & energy into this thing but cannot get the title transferred to my name without major hassles.
You can buy the complete truck for $3000 with title in original owner's name.
I am selling this truck as I just don't have the time, energy & money anymore. It is a 318 with the NP435 4-speed trans. The cab & frame have NO rust or ROT, under 97,000 miles on it & is in very nice shape, too nice for me to part out. It had a front-end accident at some point before I got it...
These are some shots I just took. Sheet metal is crudely in place & needs to be tweaked & adjusted properly. I do have the complete grill assembly in my basement except the sealed headlight bulbs. Also have some of the fender trim pieces.
Left fender is new. Cab & frame is super solid.
I'll be asking $4500 for it. I will get current pics of it right now with my digital camera as I haven't figured out how to download pics from my smart phone yet. Are there any specific things that you'd like to see pictures of?
I thought about that. I have too many things in my yard now. I have a 2001 V10 Dodge 2500 that I use for scrapping + 2 other vehicles & a car trailer.
The 86 is in really nice shape in all the major places, cab, frame, engine, interior, & I just figured a younger guy would be interested when I...
Well, I finally got a temporary ignition set up on this thing to see what it sounds like. YES, I did by-pass the fuel tank & ran a hose from the fuel pump pick up, to a gallon jug of fresh fuel, changed the oil & filter, pulled the ESC carb & installed one from a 69 D-200 I had, primed the...
