I think it will be fine someone did a good job to stabilize the rear it may ride a little stiffer but not too much and its a truck the rubber spacers look to be worn out and you should probably replace them.

A lot of times there is a ridge on the outer side of the drum that makes it hard to slip past the brake shoes you can take it down some with a die grinder to make it easier if you have to take it off again
If it stumbles on acceleration It could be a bad accelerator plunger in your carb. If you look down the top of the carb with the engine shut off and push the accelerator yo should see shots of fuel. If not your plunger needs replaced
