if you want to retain the hubs then either a chebbie or ford setup will work. im doing something similar to my 74 W100 with a ford dana 44, im swapping over the spindles, outer axle stub-shafts, proportioning valve, calipers, and hubs.
I hope your truck still has a 360 right? it will have to be a NV4500 from a 3/4 or 1 ton 2wd 360 gasser, bellhousing should bolt right up but it will have the provision for a crank sensor, no biggie. and it should have the external hydraulic clutch assembly with the gigantic saddle looking...
