Also, the owner of the 96 360 said the motor was sitting out side for 2 years well covered up. Should I be worried about that?

Yes, it has plenty of power, I already changed the plenum gasket but it burns alittle.

Nope, just a good old 5.9 liter 360 gas.The thing still has great power, uses a little oil but with that many miles.

I have a 2001 Dodge ram 2500 with a 360 with 327,000 miles on it. I am looking for a 360 with fewer miles on it, I found a 96 360 with 170,000 miles on it. Will the 96 360 bolt up to my 2001 tranny? What else will I need or need to do to make it fit in my truck?

Well, all is not well. The high side valve is leaking, I am going to replace all lines and maybe the compressor to be safe. Any other thoughts?

Are all 5.9 Magnums built the same? Is a 5.9 Magnum in a Dodge Ram 2500 the same as in a Dakota? A Jeep? A Dodge Ram 1500? Are any of them built stronger?

I got lucky, The one from the 2000 worked fine and I dont have to worry about any inspection.

The ECM I took out of my truck, I looked up the part number and it is for a Dodge Durango. I guess thats why it didnt work.
