Progress is slow since we bought my wife her truck. I’m swapping a 454 in hers. Mostly been cleaning everything up and getting some small stuff sorted out.
I used factory mounts with adapter plates. Transmission mount is factory too. I had thought about going aftermarket for the accessory drive when I had plans for an older LS but for the GenV they’re all too expensive. I’m just going to leave it factory and use relocation brackets for the A/C...
I had an 82’ I installed an HEI setup on. I loved it. Only problem I found is check your clearance to the firewall, I had to massage mine back a little. Other than that it worked great.
Great looking truck!
It’s been forever but progress has been made! Interior is almost complete. And I’ve chosen to go with a 2017 GenV 6.2L & 8 speed from an Escalade. I’ll upload some more pictures of the rest later. Work has had me busy with customers cars. 😂
Ok so to make the seats work the floor and seat track has to be modified. It’s not too difficult although it is tight with the upgraded switches. Once I get both seats mounted I’ll be able to determine the position of the console and fabricate mounting brackets for it as well. Made some new foam...

Ok I’ve got lots of stuff done so far, engine is out, painted engine bay, redoing some interior sound deadening and speaker covers. Even had a crazy idea for a seat and console upgrade. 😂

Holly cow it’s been forever! I didn’t even realize how long my truck has been sitting. I finally blew a head gasket some time back and it’s been running but “dead” since. I’ll have to take some pictures but as of now it has been decided, I’m swapping in a 6.0 LS with a 6 speed! Lots of trick...
