Two big-name automakers are merging their truck divisions, hoping to boost profits and innovation as their industry is challenged by everything from labor shortages to the rise of EVs. Toyota Motor Corp. and Daimler Truck said Tuesday that they'll finalize the deal to bring together the subsidiaries, Hino Motors Ltd. and Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus, within the year. Each automaker will own a quarter of that business; further details are expected to be announced in the coming months.

Ugh. I've always done everything I can to steer clear of Toyota and all the other foreign manufacturers right along with them. Maybe even a better reason im building an 80s d250 from the frame up...

All the more reason I m glad that I decided to build my 83 D250 back up from a bare frame.
And have a clean 85 D150 sitting right next to it.
