    choosing the right hubs.

Thanks again for the info. The fluid, bolts and the data on the axle housing and vacuum line and sending unit all make sense and while I dont have that CAD axle, I can tell you that putting the wire on the sending unit BEFORE installing the T/C would have been a good idea! lol I'm prepping for...

    TransferCases

Havi'n fun Now! Yep bear, it sure seems that way. I didnt look at the axle before I got on here so I'll look in the AM. The case went in without a hitch however 2 other issues appeared. 1st- the bolts to from the front driveshaft to the t/c looked at first to be 3/8". But when dry-fitted with...

Thanks Friends, Here's what I found as far as the transfer case, and I will take any and all help. The tag on the old one (busted case) is 208D so I checked the years and that model # was made '80 to '89? And I have front locking hubs, and to make it all even more interesting it has 8 bolt...

Thanks to all, I do have it running but at full speed only. Thats ok for now. The above mentioned box of parts that came with the truck had a resistor, a blower fan motor, and the bezel for the dash that goes around the heater control switches. The previous owner must have been to a yard cause I...

I did get a box of used parts w/truck when I bought it including a heater blower and a reistat that when hooked up is stuck on low fan speed? If the old fan needs more persuasion again I'll swap it out. We will see maybe tomorrow if I get snow here!? Previous owner knew something was wrong.

Thanks! Nailed it, after looking further into the fuse box area I noticed that the fuse holder clips were melted! Time for the ammeter bypass job. Found the resistor is shot cause its stuck on high speed when I finally got it running. The fan turned but needed persuasion, good rap or two with...

Hi everyone, Im sure its been posted before, Heater blower in-op! No A/C on Truck, '79 W100. Switch does nothing but heater core is hot so the coolant is doing its job. The Fan, she just ain't spinn'in! Fuse good, whats next? Now before I start replacing parts where can I use a tester or...

Going back to work on my 1979 Step side

It is a version of the li'l red x-press, I don't know all the options but it came with the same custom wood outside and the steak body type wooden sides, but was painted black. Midnight Express decals I think the midnight and the warlock were 2 different models ? Anybody?
