I would think the exhaust ports & header bolt pattern would be the same as factory heads. You could always confirm this with Trick Flow to be sure.
Also, don't waste your time & money on shorty headers, go full length, shorty's are NOT worth the trouble for the very mild H.P. gain. Trust me.
I know they are expensive, but buy TTI headers. They will fit your truck with NO modifications & they are very good headers. I think they only make MOPAR exhaust systems. You will probably want to go with the 1-7/8" primary tubes with the combo you have. Sounds pretty healthy.
I did a similar mod to a 90 D-150 I had back in 1990. Basically, all stock internals. I would say if the Trick Flow heads were the only thing you've done to hop-up the engine, 1-3/4" headers & true duals (Full Lenth headers! Don't waste your time & money on shorty headers, not worth the...
Thanks Don. I have the vacuum adv. distributor, old style carb & ECU set-up & installed & set up temporarily just to get it running, (Runs great by the way) Just wondering where the wires, or what's left of them, from the bulkhead connector go. I might as well finish the wiring job as no one...
Thanks for the info, but that will be my last resort. I'm trying to download a wiring diagram from different web sites & not having any luck. They either don't match my bulkhead connector wiring (Under hood is all I need) or they're wrong all together. I know 86-87 are odd ball years with some...
Where would the best place on-line, to find a printable under hood wiring diagram for an 86 D-250 with the ESC system (Which I'm doing away with)? Trying to do this as cheaply & as quickly possible. I'm working on it outside. TIA
Good news! I now have the correct title for this truck, in MY name. I will start doing some brake work as needed when the weather cooperates but, price will go up accordingly. The Reading utility body on back has been sold. If anyone is interested in this super clean body, let me know ASAP...
Could be the shift solenoid or pressure solenoid. Someone makes a kit that has them in a set, maybe Sonnax? Try running a bottle of ATP AT-205 in the tranny first. The solenoids may just be sticking & the AT-205 may fix your problem. I've used it with great results. It's worth a try. I know...
Looking for a complete, under hood wiring harness for an 86 D-250, 318 4speed. I need the whole harness from the bulkhead connector to the ignition system, lighting etc. I would prefer one that isn't too hacked up. I have some first gen parts I would be willing to trade also. I am doing away...
I AM getting the title transferred to me. Title was signed & notarized, in the correct areas (Fortunately) by owner before he passed so I will have the title in MY name in 3-4 weeks. Reading Utility body is still on truck also.
