    Ball joint replace questions

87 w150, almost positive it has a dana 44 front axle. Drivers side lower bj needs replaced, and im hearing different stories on wether the axle NEEDS to come out or not. Is that so the knuckle can come off or is it nessecary? In other words, can the lower ball joint be replaced without...

    w250 springs on a w150?

Anyone here done this? From what I understand they should bolt right up without any extra parts minus the replacement shackles and such. Anything I should keep in mind?

    Compatibility question for you guys

Is there any difference in '87 or earlier small blocks/727's in the d or w series trucks to A/B/E bodies and etc? For example if I wanted to take a early to mid 70's 360 and a mid 80's 4wd 727/t-case, would everything bolt up or would there be issues with mounts, shaft lengths, trans not bolting...

    Clanking also a Grind sound

Mine does something similar when I take turns. Only happens within the first 1/4 turn of the steering wheel for me, it will constantly do it if i keep it there for the turn. I was told from another d150 owner that there is a body seam by the fender that's bad for that, also thought mine could be...

    Weatherstripping, window seals, etc recommendations

I work at a PPG store, and we've had good feedback from the 3M stuff. Obviously its a roll and must be cut and such by the customer, but that is always an option. Pretty sure it runs around $30/roll

    Problem thread for the w150

My front has leafs. Ordered ball joint because I notice that the front passenger wheel's camber is alittle off, and i've been told that it could only really be a ball joint, and that there isn't really a way to adjust camber, though I haven't had the time to look at it myself. They are probably...

    Problem thread for the w150

So i'm trying to diagnose some problems I have with my newly acquired '87 w150. I'ts a 318/727 truck, 85,000 org. miles. It had 2 owners before me, the previous owner's dad bought it new, and he later inherited it. The second owner had it for 5 years and didn't even put 1,000 on it. When i...

    W150 Big Block swap?

Has anyone here crammed a big block in a ram? I have a buddy with an '86 d150, 440/727, thinking of doing the same with a 440 I have, I know where to get the headers, mounts, pan, and such. Just don't know what options i have as far as a big block 4wd trans. I wouldn't care if it was a 4spd or...

    '87 318 w/ rollers?

I've got an 87 w150 with a 318/727. Ive heard that around 84-85 the small blocks went to rollers. Anyone have any idea as to whether this is true? Ordering a cam soon and would really like to find out before I have to tear it apart to see. I have a fsm, just won't be able to get to it for the...
