I'm slowly getting my dually ready for paint and managed to get the hood done after grafting in a six pack scoop. The truck is and will be canyon red. I snagged a set of black leather buckets from a 2014 Laramie last year at the Mopar Nats. Slowly coming together

This must not be a work truck. That black leather will be warn this summer but will look cool.

Yep. 12V cummins, 5spd. I was looking for a 4BT to swap into the truck in my sig but found the 92 for less than the 4BT was going to cost. It was an IA farm truck that drug a 5th wheel to FL every winter. No rust but beat to death inc 5th wheel dropped on the bed. The PO had also spent more on the truck than he was asking for it. Love it. It's a hoot and gets low 20s mpgs. It's the only 1 ton hot rod at most shows too. I still have an itch for a 4BT so time will tell. I'll post updates as they happen but most likely in a new post as I move slow.

I envy you diesel guys until something breaks or it needs to be serviced. To go that route changing the truck out would be cheaper than a conversion.

Honestly there's not much else to show. Every panel on this thing needed reworked. With working a reg job and just life in general, I move slow on the truck. I'll try to get a few progress pics though and post up.

Very understandable. I started on the 82 seven years ago and still have not got it painted were it can be seen. The wheels of progress turn real slow also.

I have the front fenders done. At some point a ball joint let go on the PS and mashed the wheel opening. That needed fixed along with other dents. The bed and tailgate are ready. I didn't like the rear step bumper so I bought and modifide a rear bumper from a 2000 Ram 1500 van. I think that's going to look clean and still extend over the receiver hitch enough to look neat. Right now I'm reworking the dually fenders. They didn't fit the openings so I'm making them fit better and that should be under primer late this week or early next. I'm also converting an old useless 12 ga shotgun into a shifter. That's comming slowly but surely too. The doors are rust free and straight looking but who knows what is hiding under the paint? That leaves the cab. PS rocker is a bit mashed and the DS floor board has a soft spot. Windshield leaking caused that. Only rust I've found. Everything is like new as far as rust goes. I bought a set of 3rd gen 5 slots and had a machine shop redrill them to fit my 5/8 studs, those have been on a while with no problems. I bought a set of high end black leather seats from a late model Laramie truck, those will go in at some point. Everything is easy-peasy in my mind, and in and out, but it always takes longer and everything is hiding something else, and it always cost more than I can afford to spend. So, one day at a time.
