I want to know where I can get my hands on a pistol grip for my 87. It has the A833OD gear box. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I do not think a complete shifter is required. Check companies like Yearone and see if they carry the handle you need. Might even look on the Hurst or TMC website. Be prepaired to pay big $ is they do not go cheap.

Saw one at a show in MN a few years back, can't remember who it was though, couldn't use it in my truck due to the aftermarket seats as I didn't think it cleared the front of the seat well enough.

I have a new Question for you 833 users. How hard would it be to change my gear ratio's. I have a OD unit and would like to get rid of that 3.09 first gear?

Summit, Jegs, Year One, Mancini, Brewers, and Passon all have the pistol grip shifters (handle or shift mechanism). Also they are all over E-Bay. The long arm (70 B-Body non console) is what I used in my Dakota. If you are looking for used make sure you get a bolt on one. Originals were slip-in not bolt on. The 71 B-body non-console is the medium length one and I don't believe it's made any longer. It's the one that fits A-bodies and is harder to find than the real short E-body/B-body console and the long arm.
