Ignition cylinder replacement key in buzzer

Replaced the ignition switch cylinder on the 93 with one from NAPA. The barrel was shaped a little different than the original but it starts.
Problem is the key in buzzer and headlight switch are no longer communicating. Everthing is fine with the engine running till the headlights are turnt on. Then the buzzer comes on and will not stop till the lights are again shut off.
Werd would think this would also affect seat belts, doors and the likes. But just headlights.
Anyone have this happen?
 
NAPA. I won't buy their electrical parts, unless absolutely necessary. If the barrel was shaped differently I could see issues arising. If you have the original, I'd bring it with to match up with the replacement.
 
I would agree if this afected more than just the lights and the exterior of the cylinder rotated.
Just checked and it makes no difference if the keys is in or not the buzzer comes on as soon as the lights are turnt on? Something is going to ground. Will remove the cylinder one more time tomorrow.

Old switch on left and new on the right. Do not distroy the while installing a new cylinder. New switch and cylinder are working great. No more buzz with lights on.

Maybe I'm missing something, but those look way different. Shadows, must be.
 
The old one is missing an insulator and bent out of shape. They better look different. Post 4 is what it should look like inside.
Five has the old broken on the left and new on the right.

I never even enlarged the picture! I see what you're talking about better with that second look.
 
Unfortunately it was an installer error. Have had problems getting it to the auxiliary position and new cylinder fit in the old switch loose. This solved all 3 problems.
Have been trying not to spend allot of money on this thing as it is being replaced. But have to keep it going till then.
What happened is I broke the old switch trying to put the new cylinder in.
