Sort of a truck thing, but more of a Jeep one.

I recently purchased a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7 overhead cam with 102011 miles on it and a blown head gasket. A local wrecker had a 4.7 from a 2008 Dakota and assured me if the eighth vin number was an N, it should bolt right in. Well, in his defence, it does bolt in, it just won't start. It's looking like I will have to tear the engine down and put the old crank tone wheel on this newer motor and I will probably change the cam positioning tone wheel while I'm at it.

Has anyone run into this problem.
