Smog Pump removal 1989 Ram 150 3.9

What step do I need to take to do this correctly? I bypassed my cat there was a hose in there. do I plug it and justt take belt off smog pump?

I'd remove it all just to get rid of dead weight. Plug the hose going to the cat, and see how it drives. Don't know if the cat would need to go or not.
