I have an 85 Dodge D100 and I am hoping to cure an electrical problem. My truck has a gauge for oil pressure. The motor that was installed has a oil pressure sending unit for an idiot light. I purchased the proper gauge sending unit and it has in terminal for a slip on connector. In the process of changing it out, I found the sending unit has 3 wires; blue one to the autochoke (not needed, I have a manual choke, white wire went to nowhere and red wire went to J10 junction. The white wire should have gone to spot 26 on the bulkhead wiring connector. Do I need the red wire at all or can I fust direct wire from the clip on connector directly to the bulkhead connector?
