into the new truck

had to change the motor mount brackets. not sure if they where 1970 mounts or van mounts. the engine was to high fan hit shroud. they also did not line up right but did the job. did not have much choice at the time either had to work. got a 4x4 set and put on it.

makeing 4x4 motor brackets work

now to make the 4x4 brackets work. first i moved the trans mount as far back as possible and bolted it in place. then i set the engine down and marked the front and back side on the frame brackets through the engine bracket holes. had to slide the engine from side to side to do that. and remove engine/trans to make the adjustments. only had an 1 1/2hrs to do this and what a difference.

Will be much better! I'd like to swap out my 4.10's for something else, but I'd hate to lose my limited slip. Pondering a 94-01 disk brake rear from a 3/4 ton for my 90 250

I though about a limited slip but its to much fun smoking the one tire when i pass some one.
