Ran into this earlier today, a customer called for a replacement upper ball joint on an 02' silverado 2wd that had a fabtech lowering kit. Well the factory joint was way off, and an 88 to 99 "K" and "C" series joint was a kiss to big on the tapered shaft diameter. Turns out fabtech uses 73 to 86 two-wheel drive truck/van/blazer balljoints in their kits. So if any of you folks have this kit, save about 50 bucks and get them from a parts store, obviously fabtech has tried very hard to capitalize on this, since their part numbers do not cross reference to anything.
