Hey everyone

Just joined this forum looking for some advice

My 2012 ram 1500 Laramie took a crap a couple weeks ago after hitting 170k miles, was well maintained I did oil changes every 3k miles and replace whatever needed replacing. But unfortunately the cam and roller for cyl 7 decided they wanted a long term vacation, and although I am mechanically inclined to do the repair I didn’t have time to have 2 young kids, and it being my only vehicle, so I sold it for less than I wanted, and luckily my father in law gave me his 2018 jeep grand Cherokee..

Enough about that..

I am looking for a new daily/tow vehicle the jeep is great but I am use to trucks and for now I plan on towing my 2019 jayco jay flight slx with it, but I want something that I know can get the job done and not worry about anything happening while on a trip..

So I want to get your guys opinion on what I should get, I am not brand loyal, but I do want something a little older, I do like the ford obs idi or 7.3power strokes, 2007 Chevy 2500, excursions, or burbs.. I don’t care diesel or gas but leaning toward gas bc diesel has jumped to 6$ on Long Island. MPG isn’t an issue I’m use to low mileage, I want a good reliable truck, I am fine with fixing things I know older trucks will need some repairs

Thank you in advance!
