Leaf springs

Hi..I have a 85 dodge 1/2 ton and I just broke the drivers side leafs. a few anyways. I was hauling gravel , I guess a lil to much for the springs...hehe. I was wondering if you can put 3/4 leafs under the truck without any mods? Also will 3/4 leafs work with the u bolts I have? The rear is a 8.25. Who has the best prices on leaf stacks? I've got a pair that have a 1/2 ton main leaf & 3/4 ton pack. I've hauled a few good loads with them 3400# of steel across the scales. My truck is lowered 4" by moving the spring hangers up on the frame & the axle only hit the stops a few times coming out to the main road.
