Kermit part II

Well, here we go again. Kermie liked the "new" engine I put in back in April. She ran pretty good, too. But, vacuum was a bit off and the oil pressure was a skosh concerning. (30 psi at road speed). Not to mention the T400 trans decided that I needed Lake Mercon in my driveway. (I would swear I just went through this with our Jeep).

So, starting this weekend, the engine AND trans are coming out and a donor 350/700R4 are going in. Thanks to my pal Mikey, I now have a OD indicator to put in the dash and a slew of other little things to make the swap easier.

Did I mention he grabbed me a rust free hood? Crap, now I gotta do something about the "patina".

Wtf? Why you keep breaking stuff?!

I know, right? The first motor was kind of a crap shoot. (As is this one). I just needed something to get the ol girl up and going at the time and that engine wasn't as in good a shape as I had thought. Hopefully, this swap will be a better change and should last for a while.
