hood closing problems

hey i am having hood closing probs with my 91 dak. for the longest time it has sat at a unlvl till and i have taken off the hood numerous times and i havent been able to close it since. could my truck sitting at an unlvl tilt cause this prob?

What is it ? Not lining up or just not latching and staying closed ?

its all of it i keep trying to line up but it wont, and it dont latch

A couple of question's . Are you trying to do this while the truck is on level or fairly level ground ? When you took the hood off did you leave the hinges on the truck or did you take them off with the hood ? Most of your adjustment is in the hinges were they bolt to the body (inner fender) . The latch part of it could be as simple as it's stuck open (disengaged) but if the hood is to far off then that still could be the problem .
