High rew shifting

I have a problem whid my Dodge d200 i have to pass 3200rpm in order to get it in 3rd gear i suspekt its a shift kit in the trany engine 400bb trany 727 any sugestions

You may have to change the governor weights or adjust the kick down linkage. Any instructions with the shift kit?

Is the fluid at the proper level? Have you checked the kickdown linkage?
