Hello, I am new to the gmc forum and was hoping someone would be able to help me out. Was walking through a junkyard the other day and stumbled upon this truck. It’s a GMC D863 with a 6-71 2 stroke Detroit, spicer trans, a 2 speed rear, air brakes and a 5th wheel. Can anyone tell me the make of the rear end, details about the trans, gvw, anything else you wouldn’t know just bug looking at it? I’m guessing it’s from the late 50s but I don’t know for sure.
