Wanted in frame fuel tank for 1978 D 150 short box. From what I can find it is the 18 gallon one. My truck has a 25 gallon steel tank made by the previous owner. I want to go back to plastic before the rust issues start.

I had a plst tank in my 82. The seam split. I bought a used one from the salvage yard, It was also split. They had a problem w/ them. Probably why the metal. The sun out here eats the s..t out of anything but metal. They make a a coating you can put inside for the rust problem. Its standard procd. to coat new after market tanks for Harleys. You can get a nice repop. that looks real close. only problen will be the hangres. I have 6cyl and 18 almost too small. If you have the room go bigger.
