My business partner has a 1967 C10 short bed he is customizing for himself. Plans include suicide doors, lowered stance, Big Block power and a modern interior -probably out of a 2010+ Camaro or a Corvette.

I will post some pics here tomorrow

I love the 67-72 models. Had a long bed 71 C/10 Custom years ago. Loved it. The simplicity of the suspension and ruggedness of the upper and lower A arms was great. One of the best body styles of chevy trucks IMHO. I love the 88-94 C1500s as well. I keep away from 73-87 bodies though.

I have a 68 GMC C-15 Step side short bed(Same as a Chevy C-10 with the GMC grill and headlight arrangement and badging)
Been working on it for a while now.

So far, installed a .30 over 350 (355), Edlebrock 600cfm 4 Bb;, and performer intake. used an old set of Hooker headers I had laying around, like of rusted, and TH350 auto, with a B&M auto floor shifter, front disc brakes, after market (knee knocker) A/C, Polished American Mag Torque Thrust D's, Bench seat cover, door panels, and ceiling liner from LMC Truck, sport steering wheel, stereo, custom made drive shaft, 12 bolt posi, removed the in cab tank, and installed a 17 gallon under bed tank, with an electric fuel pump, presently working on a replacement (red oak) wood floor with stainless steel strips, bolts and hardware. Also installed quad Halo headlights, replaced rear sill cross member, and under bed cross sills. Pending replacement tail gate, there is a piece of 16 gauge Stainless steel plate on the tailgate and after market lettering.

The Gray GMC in the back ground is my daily driver.

Preparing to finish the new wood floor for the 68. Sanded to 320, and ready for some Marine Spar varnish... 4 coates on 2 faceses, 2 edges, and 2 ends on each board.

Some more work getting done on the GMC thanks to "Shelter at Home".

A lot a space behind the seat in the cab, now, with the old gas take removed.
Still some clean up to do back there. most likely will be used for some stereo equipment, and I was also going to fab up a metal tool box to fit there, with a full lining fitted for the tools so they don't rattle around.

The gas filler neck is a stainless, flush mount, pop up type. It will be mounted into the wood floor.

laying out for the bore and counter bore for the gas filler.
The metal strips are stainless, in this photo they still have the protective plastic on them.

My son has a 67 C10 he has been working on for years. Not sure how it will end up as things keep getting changed.

I know the feeling! lol!

I'm collecting parts for the 71 Dart, right now, too.. So far I have 3 engines 1971 318, a 71 - 340, and a 71 slant 6. The car is originally a 6 cylinder/ auto, 7-1/4 rear. I have a 904, and a 727 for the two V8's, and I've got both an A body 8-3/4 Sure Grip, and a Dana 60 with 3.56's in it, out of a "B" body. I'm thinking the Dart is going to get the 340, 904, and 8-3/4, and I'm going to put the 318/727/Dana into a 60's or early 70's Dodge Pick up, or a 50's panel truck if I can find one in decent condition. ALso thinking of seeing if I can trade the 318/727 for a big block and trans. I really don't care if it's a manual or an auto, at this point. I'm 70 years old now, and I'm getting tired of driving with my left foot. lol

318's just are not worth much. I have had one sitting here for years and will probably have to give it away or build a tractor to put it on.

I have a friend in Alaska who has a 318/390 stroker in his regular cab dually 250, and swears by it. I refer to his truck as "the Moose Magnet", as that drive train and chassis and bed are probably the only virgin parts on that truck. lol I know the front clip has been changed a few times, after kissing more than a few moose butts.
