Back up lights

Hey new guy here. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if they know the location of the reverse light switch or what else could stop them from working? I checked the bulbs and fuse all are good and I'm getting power at the fuse but not at the light sockets. My truck is an 04 1500.

Update; I went to local dealer & the parts "guru" said "it is part of the steering column". Can anyone confirm this??

If your truck is an automatic I would say that is most likely where it is. Not really sure how manuals deal with that. I know the 80's pickups have bad issues where that mechanism in there breaks and back up lights one of the things that is almost always effected by it. I would assume 04 would have something similar.

Automatics have them in the transmission they resemble an

oil pressure switch not sure of location on trans,looks like this.
