I was driving and the oil pressure gauge suddenly dropped below zero(totally dead). At that point the red "ENGINE" light came on. I made it less than a half mile home without over heating or anything. My problem is: where is the oil pressure sending switch and how do you get to it. My repair manual says on the rear of the block behind intake manifold, but I can't seem to locate it from the top or from below. I was going to check oil pressure, replace switch, then replace oil pump if necessary. Am I going about this correctly? Can I crank engine?(it will still start) How do I get to the sending unit? PLEASE HELP
