2001 Dodge Ram 2500 ?

Why do I get warm air out of the vents even when I have the temp control set on cold? My ac does not work but I should be able to get cool air out of the vents, right? What is going on?

This is only a guess. Newer AC units pull continues air from the heater core to prevent evaporator freeze up and this could be the hot air you are feeling from the AC vents or the function selector switch maybe bad.

Blend door servo, Rams are noted for those going bad. Just like their cracked dashes and evaporators leaking.

Well, all is not well. The high side valve is leaking, I am going to replace all lines and maybe the compressor to be safe. Any other thoughts?
