FOR SALE 1968 Dodge D100 225 slant six

Yes I have a oil pan on mine and sump.......so we got a dart motor to put in the pickup and the oil pan is incorrect. I can take pictures of is this afternoon. The main problem is that the cut out for the starter to go in isn't there. Our original motor threw a rod through the pan and I didn't save it(wish i would have then we could have fixed it). So we got the motor back from the machine shop and installed and can't mount the starter.

Ok so you're running a low mounted starter? A hi mounted starter (as it would be in the dart) there's no way a pan would interfere.
Actually I can't see how a pan would interfere with the starter on one of these engines with any combo
I can see how a cross member or steering linkage would interfere with various pan combos.
What year dart did the donor engine come from?

You know about the difference with the crankshaft where the flywheel/flex plate mounts between 67-older vs 68-newer engines?

The Dart was a 1969.......the starter hits the oil pan and we can't bolt it up.....I am not sure about the crankshaft situation but since the clutch and transmission are back in it must be ok

Oh, you have the other (less common ) style starter your truck actually needs a front sump right?
And can someone move this thread or at least change the heading? He's looking to buy not sell.
I have the pan he needs.
