For those of you that are wondering what a CSS is, Custom Sport Special, was available from 64-66 or 67 if memory serves correct. You could get it with a /6, poly 318 or the bad boy 426 wedge. Mine came with a poly 318 and push button 727.....which where long gone by the time I got it. It did have a LA318 and 727, but now has a 383/727 combo which both have been rebuilt.

I got the engine and trans from a member here on FBBO, then found another 383 (rebuilt) and mated the rebuilt engine to the rebuilt trans, so I have the other 383 that goes with it. I got some Dougs headers from DagoMike, and they fit in the truck and then built from the collectors back, all stainless exhaust from Flowmaster and has fake Magnaflow mufflers. It does sound mean when you get on it, but not droney (sp).

The radiator has been recored, 3 core, but is for a small block, so I used some stainless tubing to connect the bottom hoses together. I also have a newish 725 Road Demon carb that will go with the truck.

New lenses front and rear, converted to a dual circuit mc, new lines, new shoes all around. Prior owner installed Auto Meter gauges, but I had to replace the volt meter cause it took it dump with another Auto Meter gauge. Has a new 78 amp alt. and electronic voltage regulator that looks like the factory mechanical style.

Tires are good, rims are Centerline that need to be polished. I did the center caps and they turned out great, but have not done the rims themselves.

It has FACTORY bucket seat, console, frame reinforcement and a Dana 60...have a clutch style sure grip with new clutches and shim kit that goes with the truck. I have the correct front sump pan, will need to get a pick up for it as the 187 pan is way too close the axle beam, so driving it...well watch out for bumps.

There are some rust spots, as any truck of this era has, but overall a solid truck. I'm asking 6500 obo, my zip code is 93230. If ya want to check it out, or have someone look it over, that is no problem. I will post pics in the morning and for those that are serious, I will send pics of the Cert Plate that denotes it is a CSS and lists all the goodies.

That would make a helava hot rod truck or I could even see it as a killer tow vehicle for an early mopar race car . NICE ! I "really" like your 64 in the garage !
