1936 chevy truck

just picked up a really rust free 1936 chevy 1/2 ton pick up,it is in boxes,you know the kind. it is the one you told your self,you would never drag home again.do any of you car folks know any thing about putting it on a s10 frame.I think thats the best bet for this truck.any body ever shorten the frame on one of these to fit a 112" wheel base? Iam mechanically inclined and have lots of tools including a wire welder. any help is welcome,thanks Bill Donnelly
