    Poly 318 Short Block

Thanks Early, I'll give it another go and hope all goes well! Old valve seals are gone, I'm sure brittle, broken seals litter these heads, just trying to slow the oil from pouring down the guides and fowling my plugs, I'll get a notch or two hotter plugs next time too. That will buy me time...

    Poly 318 Short Block

I wonder if shaft will clear the radiator support??? It seems I recall a head bolt too in that forward shaft support, any idea if it is leave alone, loosen or remove that bolt? I'm thinking, not relieving crush on head gasket, I think it would be ok as stout as these engines are??

    Poly 318 Short Block

great!! best of luck to you. Hey BTW, can you tell me how to remove rocker shafts so I can replace valve seals? I had no luck, so I must be missing something some where. Very different than the LA engines being so simple.

    Poly 318 Questions

Did you say you were going to use a LA block? They don't have the oil drain holes in the block that the poly has. But it can be done. I read an article where guy did that and made front and rear external drains on the heads and ran hoses down to oil pan, so oil didn't pool at the heads. FYI

    318 poly rocker shafts

I'm wanting to replace my valve seals in my 318 poly. I removed valve covers, pressed for time and couldn't get the shafts off, so I buttoned it back up for another day. Repair manuals for these are hard to find or just not covered in newer LA manuals, anyway, anybody have a clue how to remove...

61-71 dodge truck factory rear bumper

I have an original 65 rear bumper that bolts to and covers lower rear quarter panel towards rear wheel opening, and a heavy duty one from a 68, both are D100's. But they are heavy too, we would have to meet up somewhere in the middle. 918-304-7100 Alan

    Lifted 2WD D250 Camber Issue

Hello Mitch, I had a similar problem way back when, on a 1970 Dart that I put headers on and wanted the most ground clearance I could, so jacked it up via torsion bar screws.... The car sat great! However, it wiped out(or finished off a worn lower control arm bushing, which in turn scrubbed off...

Dual gas tanks wont take gas

See!!! Ask the Fluid Technician, and get the correct answer! Well, truth be known, it was my friend who couldn't fill the tank of her son's truck! So, she sends me down to fuel up and check it out. I left the nozzle out just a bit and no problem at all! I'm not sure if you were totally right, or...

What engine was original to the truck? I would love to find an old 50's hemi to build for my '65 D100 Sweptline, and a better OD manual trans to go behind it. Well, after front discs and power or rack n pinion steering.

Dual gas tanks wont take gas

95 f150, 5.0L, 4x4, dual gas tanks, neither will take gas and the dash switch fell into dash. Yet neither tank takes on gas, could that be plugged evap system vent? Or anyone have a clue what this issue is and correcting that issue? Thanks, Medicineman

I like them all too. What is deal on heater core? Re-located? I have been considering using a late model core in my '65 using an inline cable operated valve as control, OR maybe use an extra Neon heat/air cond complete box under there and add compressor, lines, condenser etc, to have a/c...
