Just purchased an 82 D150 Miser. Slant six with a833od. Was trying to decipher equipment tags to find out what is truly stock and what isn’t. One sticker under hood only says that it is a miser edition with no codes. Stamped tag on radiator support is shown. Any help is greatly appreciated
I’m having troubles getting mine adjusted correctly. Can only go as far as drive. And I have to beat on it to do that. It’s binding up I believe. Trying to find the correct nylon bushings as mine are all gone.
Which transmission do you have. If it’s the A904 I believe you can get linkages from any 79 up through the 80s. If I recall correctly I found a diagram of mine in a LMC catalog or somewhere online with some google action.
I have a 1987 D150. Slant six/a904, 2 barrel setup with headers and HEI conversion. What vehicle should I look for when searching for a bolt in axle with 3.55 or3.73 with sure grip. Currently have peg leg 8.25 with 3.23.
Line is not blocked. Tank hasn’t been past half since engine was replaced and lines reconnected. Carb is being replaced this weekend. After reading your post I think maybe I have vacuum source connected to the wrong port on canister causing vacuum to the wrong places, or.. valve is faulty. I’m...
The vacuum diagram shows a line that goes from canister to fuel tank, as well as the bowl vent to the canister. There was fuel in the line from canister to tank. Why would this be if it is just a vapor vent? The line that I believe should go to fuel filter is currently plugged.
Everything was connected per the hood diagram. I’m pretty much sold that the extra line is a return that originally hooked to the factory fuel filter. It just seems odd that that much fuel would be from fumes. It almost seems as though the tan were pressurized and sending fuel where it should...
Ok I think I have figured out that one is a return line that should be connected to the stock fuel filter that has a provision for it. I currently have an aftermarket in line filter that does not have this connection. Do I need to utilize this return line or can I leave it plugged? Also when I...
I have an 87 D150 w/ slant six. On the frame I have 3 lines coming from fuel tank. One is the supply for the pump, one goes to charcoal canister. What is the third one from. Previous owner has it plugged off with a bolt and band clamp. I’m sure this needs to go somewhere, but where is that...
Thanks for the reply. So correct me if i am wrong but i will be going to a non lockup a904 from the volare to replace my lockup trans i currently have. Would i need to get a torque converter for a volare since i bieleve input shaft and spline count are different? 27 on the volare trans, i...
I have a 87 D150 shortbed. Slant six with A904. My question is can I use an A904out of a earlier year car? I think the donor was a 77 volare with /6 a904 combo.
