Hello to everyone & wondering if a classic van event would work at our nudist campground

You can start a chit chat thread in the General Forum and will probably get more responses.... General Non Truck Discussions

Rear mount gas tank for shortbed d150 step-side. Need the 3 cross-members.

Welcome to the site!! We have a Welcome Wagon forum for new introductions....and....a parts wanted forum. Many members don't bother looking in the General Forum when they are looking for someone that wants to buy the parts they might have so you will probably get better results posting a wanted...

Good afternoon.....yup, and if you check out all the automotive sites that are associated with this one, you'll find members from all over the world.

    Thinking about switching brands

I've heard more than a few Chevy guys complain about the 5.3 engine. A buddy bought a used Suburban with one....the truck was nice but the engine was a pile. I have a 22 Colorado with the Z71 package and the V6 has lots of power but things like the thermostat housing 'failed'....haven't studied...

    Seam sealer

What's it called when you 'wipe' hot lead in a body seam using a wooden paddle? Sweating solder is more common but you can also wipe it too. Been a lot of years since hearing someone call it wiping though.

    Seam sealer

That's interesting! Kinda reminds me of 'wiping' on body lead.

    It is starting

Couldn't log in with my regular user name on my other machine so I joined up under CrankyONE. The shop LT is really old but I'm on it. What's odd is my info here says what my password is and yet I can't login on my other machine that's in my office using that password.

    It is starting

80 degrees here at the moment....but will be in the mid 40's over night and tomorrows high will be in the middle 50's. Yoyo weather.

Lets see your Dodge trucks! Post some Pic's!

Thanks! Wish I could take credit for it but kept it looking decent for over 5 years now. My 95 Dakota looks like it went through hell and back! At least it's not beat up but it is fairly worn out.

Some Mopar things I have seen lately

My 5.9 diesel has a hard time to come up to temp.....I can block the radiator 85% and it will run at 180 in 70* weather but will get up to 195 in extended stops like in heavy traffic. And don't tell me to install a new stat. Done that many times and gave up and went to the blocked radiator. The...

Lets see your Dodge trucks! Post some Pic's!

Had this 96 Dakota for about 5 years now. Was advertised on Craigslist for way too much and it didn't sell until I made a low ball offer....V6 but runs good and has one repaint before I got it. Dang red needs buffing....

    OBD II codes

I like the RT wheels too but couldn't find any that were reasonable at the time and had the Durango wheels already so, they went on. Also had a full set of Michelins 15" 235-75 tires that were nearly new to go on it so using the Durango wheels was a no brainer.

    OBD II codes

I have 1st gen 8" Durango wheels on my 96. Would post a pic but don't have any on this puter...

    OBD II codes

Don't know why I couldn't find the codes on the net....after spending about 10 minutes looking, I came here.

    OBD II codes

My 95 messed up one time back when the warranty still covered the computer and anything related to emissions. It would run fine then go into limp home mode. Next day it would be fine then do it again a day later. Drove it 40 miles to a Dodge dealership where I knew some folks and the scan tool...

    OBD II codes

Well, don't have a scanner. Always went to an auto parts store to read and confirm what the computer pumps out. Also on the key flip....once it was done spitting out that 13 code, it gave the 5 pause 5 flash. 55 for end of code. I doubt that the auto parts stores have a code reader for a 30 year...

    OBD II codes

According to the VIN and title, it's a 96. It also has two O2 sensors on the exhaust system...one in front of the cat and one behind it. My 95 only has one which is upstream of the cat.
