    Howdy from Steven

Great story, road trips like that can be fun, ( if you have the time, patience, and skills for the road side repairs) always good to save an old Dodge truck, I've had a lot of them over the years, I honestly think my favorite was a 81 s/b utiline /6 4spd o/d , I was about 35 years younger and...

    wheels

Oldmoparguy, it seems I was wrong I did not think Dodge moved away from the 5 on 4.5 until the early 90,s but Volaredon is correct they changed in 85, too bad as that rules out many nice wheels, I don't care for many of the newer bolt pattern in stock form but I guess there are plenty of after...

    wheels

Yes, they will both be 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern and 15 inch the back space will be close or the same I've put those rally wheels on my 82 I had years ago, they look nice.

    Is anybody in here?

Lol, I don't know why this is but the wheels turn slow at this sight, many of us on here are at other sights to, I'm also on forabodiesonly and it's the polar opposite, any post there are replied to within minutes plus a lot of the questions asked here are wiring and mechanical which can be...

Almost there the 56 Dodge cab is painted!

Chassis is a 81 Dodge sb reg cab but in order for the body to fit the frame I had to modify/ shorten the frame, and modify cab mounts, in hindsight a Dakota body would be a better choice and it's narrower, the column I purchased years ago at a swap meet, I think it may have been from a chrysler...

I do not care for automatic...

    My New project

Welcome, nice truck, advice........if there was one peice of advise I wish I had taken many years ago when I started my 56 Dodge was to scrap all the original drive train and frame and put it on a later modle to get EVERYTHING you need, I tried unsuccessfully over the years to work with what it...
