I can give you one good reason for not wanting that F250. Your not always going yo have a football field to turn around on. Mountain driving isn't fun when you have to pull into a blind lane to round a curve.
If you really need the monster tires cut the body off.
Why people are allowed to get...
If your truck already has EFI get a boost pump and hook the power in line with the factory pump. Factory pump will move the required fuel but the 38 psi needs to be boosted into the 60's psi range. Factory pump .will work something like a lift pump on a diesel.
That will save time and expense...
Guess I'm at more a loss here than you are. Not knowing with four wheel drive stuff that no longer reads at the ECU. I have been told separating off stuff no longer need is a royal pain. To much stuff tied together. No source of information on what actually takes place in the ECU doesn't help...
There is no memory in the 89 ECM that I know of. Simply disconnecting the battery let it sit and reconnecting will clear codes. Finding wiring diagrams for these are like pulling hens teeth.
Plus without a test can error codes are a pain of recording and counting pings to get a code. Being the...
That 80's thing in a crew or four door will be hard to find. They were work trucks and didn't get taken very good care. As you have found.
Not many were purchased for mom and a few kids or the occasional grocery trip.
Four inch suspension lifts creat more problems than they cure. Next larger tires to make the lift not look stupid. Then larger axles to handle the larger tires. Not to mention the proper lift blocks for the steering arm so the thing steers right. Longer drive shafts. Not to mention the drop down...
Might be a bearer of bad news but if my memory is correct the 340 six pack engine had little in common with the normal 340 engine run. Block, heads and obviously the intake was different.
I would make darn sure everyone understands this is a six pack engine before ordering parts.
Frame at the steering box area was a weak link on these trucks. Many were repaired and Dodge designed a stiffener for the rail on later models.
The modification has been discussed on the form. Finding a good frame shop and building a stiffener plate would be the way to go. Even adding the...
Here I thought we where all Mopar people.
I have never seen anything but a full floater in a 3/4 ton truck. Who in there right mind would want a light duty rear axle in a 3/4 ton truck? Must be those messed up city folk.
