unwrap
you may find that fire wall block will not have the same pins as yours and lots of bad insulation on the older wiring. unwrap yours strip out the bs. leave at least 6" of wire out of the fire wall block (just in case). it will be a lot less frustrating and you will know that you have.

fuel pump relay
find the fuel pump relay use a jumper wire to the #86 terminal to the battery you should hear the fuel pump run. next remove jumper wire and only hook up wires from the unilite red to positive side of coil green to neg side and brown to ground. also get a coil from a 81 or 82...
the tbi was computer controlled the fuel pump may not work if it had a sensor that let the computer know the engine is turning over. i am not sure about this just a thought. also my dad put a 340 in a 89 short box that had a tbi and was not getting 12 volts to the coil so check that voltage.

had to change the motor mount brackets. not sure if they where 1970 mounts or van mounts. the engine was to high fan hit shroud. they also did not line up right but did the job. did not have much choice at the time either had to work. got a 4x4 set and put on it.
