    Project 78

Yeah, its quite strong but the gearing is holding it back. 4.56 gears, thing is a torque monster but top speed of about 55-60 mph. Eats fuel like crazy i got bored during my lunch break. Came up with this idea for my 78 using a piece of wood directly from the old barn we re-sided last year. I...

Dodge Diesel what was the first year

The Ford-Cummins relationship is actually quite easy to explain. Ford had an agricultural side of their business, completely separate from the automotive and pickup lines. Dodge Diesel what was the first year

They wanted a smaller version of the C series and liked what they saw in the B series, which had come out a few years prior in tractors and industrial equipment. Little known fact, there was actually a 5 cylinder designed at the...

    W150 Big Block swap?

what I'd do is a 5 speed NV4500 with the 271 or 241HD T case from behind a 94-02 cummins. Then simply get an aftermarket bell housing for the 440. cost wise, might be a tad more than trying to find a big block 4wd 727, which can be found but $$$.
