where to find good electrical parts

May not be the problem but have you checked the steering column ground. Dimmer switch is in the column and feeds the headlights. Just saying if you have low beams and not bights it is not the light switches fault as it only feeds the dimmer switch. The light switch could care less which set are on.

Not sure about the 7 day forecast. Nothing in the 4 day here out of the low 40's. Sure could use some of that 50 degree weather. Have an exterior door we would like to replace late next week. I will not be opening a 6 foot wide hole in someone's home in freezer weather.

    Dads ol dodge

On the Dakota I have found the cowl location to be corrosive. Maybe fine if it is never driven in the rain and always parked in side. Think we were buying one a year. the would just rust away.

Did you get the a/c control from the same truck?

The 93 dakota resister was located in the engine compartment. About the same location. That is why I questioned the year. It has been years since working on a 93 full size.

Is there any ryme or reason Dodge used 2 round, 2 square or 4 square headlites

Some one will disagree with that some day. I stuck one on the drivers side on my 82. Still do not have the dual snorkels hooked up. Still lacking the drivers side snorkel adapter.

y Yes 82 was in that same location but a different resistor.

If that is in fact an 82 it should be in the box. The resister for an 82 a/c unit is non-existent. Or at least I have not found one. Do you have the a/c dash controls? If this is not an 82 what year is it? Will be critical to have the right year to get the correct wiring diagram.

    My weird project

Yes I know. Short days, cold, ice and mud all at the same time. Not getting much done fast here either.

One step at a time is very important unless you simply like spending money needlessly and replacing parts.

If you have never used a transport before most don't like picking up vehicles that do not run. It cost a little extra to get the wives Road Runner to Arizona for the rebuild even had to help him load it. The absolute requirements where it had to have working brakes and all parts attached.

1st Gen 1998 Dodge Durango Problems

Yes I have read that TSB and checked the vent. No problem there. The F250 has a vapor can mounted to the frame above the spare. When it plugs up it will not allow the tank to fill unless you dribble it in. I should just order the thing from RockAuto it only $160 compared to Fords $600. But the...

Sun was finally out yesterday for a few winks. First year I ever remember seeing fog with temps below freezing. Zero warm ups on those days. Today is supposed to be one of those days again.

1st Gen 1998 Dodge Durango Problems

Off Dodge topic. But need to look at grandsons 06 Escape and see if that blasted vaper tank is under there. The F250 is a huge pain unless I disconnect the line under the hood. Just got to remember to hook it backup when done so the check engine light doesn't come on. Talk about slow fill at 1...

    So who plows snow?

Naw snow is done for the year. Wishful thinking. We saw all the snow we needed to see in the Rockies at Thanksgiving. Tractor I picked up last spring doesn't want to start and the blower that came with has not been mounted. I get enough blade time during the summer months moving dirt and rock...
