I bought this truck new in 2002 for $15,000....
4.7, automatic, A/C but crank windows, rubber floor mat and single CD player. Very basic but it was a great truck. I went 163,000 miles before I sold it to buy this:
The red truck ran perfect when I sold it. Proper maintenance does matter, so...
Some say that a longer wheelbase is better for stability when towing. I can understand that.
My truck is a 2007 Ram 1500.
It is still in great shape for having almost 400,000 miles.
Original 5.7, original 545 but the axle gears were changed from 3.55 to 3.92 a couple years ago.
Last year I...
There was talk of a rolling 20 or 25 year exemption where every year, the year models that were exempted moved forward. As usual, the greedy leeches here squashed that idea.
I figured that they do. I swapped it back in the truck regardless.
I'm moving out of this state once we find a place just right.
This is just one of the many reasons.
Yesterday I took the 2007 Ram in for the emission testing that is due every 2 years. It failed.
Why? It had no open codes. No MILs....the MIL is Mopar speak for Malfunction Indicator Light. Most people have adopted the Chevrolet term...."Check engine" light since that started with Chevrolets in...
Not all....Just here, FBBO and FABO. Just trying to spark some conversation about something other than politics!
You appear to be confused.
If you are so desperate for friendship that you'd tolerate a "friend" that monopolizes conversations by only blabbing about themselves, that is a sad...
Thanks.
I just hit 398,000 two days ago. I did change the injectors and the 02 sensors. Since then, it rarely runs rough. It does sometimes still post a MIL code for a random misfire so I clear the code and it is fine again for awhile.
I'm so tied up with other things, I just haven't set aside...
We have all had friends that eventually got too much to take.
Over the last several years, I have noticed something about people that has affected how much I am willing to tolerate.
SOME people talk about themselves too damned much.
To me, the most interesting person is the one that engages...
Ha ha...
Yeah, I posted this very topic on 3 of Joey's sites and 3 others!
IT really pisses me off.
A guy on FABO put up some excellent counterpoints though.
Since I try to be open minded and not a stubborn ass, I understand the situation a little more because of his responses.
Thanks...doing the work that I did for so long allowed me to get away with drinking so much soda and eating the huge portions. Now that I am retired, I have to scale it back to avoid expanding to blimp proportions.
Thanks again. I'm healing up as if it never happened. I'm fortunate.
It isn't just beer.
I can only enjoy sweet flavored drinks. Plain water is tolerable but if I add something sweet to it, I like it.
I've had family die from alcohol, cigarettes and drugs so I've stayed away and outlived most of them so far.
What the hell has happened to these companies? How much money are they saving by not including a good set of instructions in the package?
Here's the problem:
A man goes to install an ice maker in his fridge.
A man goes to install a garage door opener.
A man goes to install a porch light.
A man...
I knew that at this high mile number that my troubles were still lurking.
The truck still runs great but sometimes puts up a "Cyl 6 misfire" code. I replaced all of the fuel injectors and the #6 coil pack.
It will run slightly rough sometimes on a cold start. It sometimes runs the same way on...
My 75 Power Wagon uses a 2 bolt master cylinder. Oddly, the brake lines are reversed on it too. The front reservoir feeds the front brakes which is backwards compared to cars.
Here is a weird one.....
The truck does have one of those weird adapter boxes on it.
I've seen these a few times. Sometimes they are direct, sometimes that reduce speedometer speed, other times they increase it.
That fat hex at the end of the cable will not directly fit the transfer...
