    Dakota Suspension

I can understand that. They were a popular vehicle back in the day but not many people still mess with them. I'm lucky, I still have a real nice one.

    Dakota Suspension

I used a Hotchkis kit consisting of front & rear springs & Bilstein shocks on my 2000 Dakota. They have been on there for about 20 years now & have had no problems except, on the lower control arms, the factory bump stops are in a metal cup riveted to the lower control arm & they would bottom...

    FOUND Dodge truck bed.

I am looking for a decent bed for an 86 Dodge P/U. I believe 81-93 are the same. I don't mind it being dented up somewhat, I just don't want any major rust/rot. Rust above wheel wells is OK as I know trying to find one without rust in this area is not easy to find in my area, plus I don't want...

    Just brought this home yesterday

From what I was told by the owner's nephew, it was in an accident & that's why the front-end sheet metal was removed by the guy. I don't know the full story but, in seeing the great condition this thing is in, I'll put an engine in it if I need to but, I don't think there's a problem with it...

    Just brought this home yesterday

Easier said than done. I don't know why it wasn't fixed. Lost interest maybe. I checked it over to see any frame damage & only found the right upper frame rail tweaked down a bit, that's it. If you look closely, you'll see the wire harness coming out of the cab has been cut off, along with some...

    Just brought this home yesterday

This thing is SUPER solid all around, especially for a Dodge truck from the rust belt. Sitting inside well over half its life surely helped it. I'm working on getting the seat out & will need a friend help doing so, as to not damage the mat or sound deadener with the studs of the seat. After I...

    Just brought this home yesterday

This is before I power washed it. It had way more dirt & dust on it before I trailered it home. It's a very solid truck.

    Just brought this home yesterday

I got an unmolested 1986 D-250 that was sitting in a warehouse for almost 25 years. I don't know if the engine is good but, it's in pretty good shape aside from the missing front sheet metal (Which I acquired all of last year) that was removed because of an accident & was going to be repaired. I...

    Engine swap header question

I don't know about long tube headers, they may be worth the trouble but, for the cost, power gain & hassle shortie headers are, they are NOT worth it. If you have to go the shorty header route, stick with the stock exhaust manifolds. I THINK stock Magnum V8 manifolds would fit a 340 no problem &...

    Another "what to do" thread

Yep! I had a 69 D-200 Camper Special that I put a clutch in, on my back, in my driveway. It was nice that the trans. tunnel would un-bolt & gave me plenty of access from the top, but it was not easy from underneath. Crossmember removal, rusted fasteners (truck over 50, me, well over 50, living...

    Fitment question

Man, I wish they had something like those cameras for speeding on the PA. Turnpike. Thats posted at 70mph & it's not fast enough for some people who go 80-90 mph, anyway, I do have the complete under dash wiring harness from that Ram Charger. It is/was loaded with options, P/W, P/L, P/Mirrors...

Lets see your Dodge trucks! Post some Pic's!

That's a big one! I've had a couple Dodges with Leece-Nevil alts., but not that size though. Nice Heavy-Duty Dodge.

It looks like an old belt driven Paxton Supercharger on that HEMI.

    SOLD A518 trans.

Selling a A518 O.D. transmission from a 1990 4wd Ram Charger. It was a working trans. when I bought the truck 6 months or so ago & had a factory auxiliary trans cooler. Has torque convertor still attached & out of the elements. $175 OBO but, you must pick it up. Any questions, just ask. I'm in...

    727 troubles

If you've got the tools & know-how, rebuild it yourself, like volaredon said. You would save a TON of money too, rather than on someone else doing it, shipping & all that. Just by the looks of the advertisement, I'd think one is for a 4WD & one is 2WD. Different tail housings. If you're going...

    D100 lowering the rear

I had a 90 D-150 that I removed the bottom, short leaf on it & it looked good. I ordered this truck brand new, so the springs weren't worn-out when I did this but, I installed new "U" bolts because I just don't trust them anymore once they've been loosened. You could also do a rear shackle drop...

    Fitment question

Glad you got it. I was sure I put it in the console. Let me know if you need anything else for those trucks. I took everything out of this Ram Charger, wire harnesses, complete tilt column, switches, etc. I even took the wiper delay box that was mounted under the dash. I saved everything.
