Going to have to study this more. I think my press can be adjusted enough to do this. Still haven't contacted the transmission shop. I prefer to do this inhouse. But sometimes things just aren't cost affective.
I quite the pressure power bleed long ago.
I have yet to try the reverse pressure bleed but have been told it works great. I vacuum bleed if at all possible. Some 70's system was gravity bleed only.
Problem with power bleeding is activation of the over center valve if so equipped.
Going to see what the shop wants. If to much the tool kits still available. I am still not sure why an alignment shaft would be needed. That shaft needs to go back in so why not use it?
Got my 518 apart other than the od. Will need a tool to compress that big spring. Also back far enough my 727 books are of little value. Can't believe the price on these manual. Double the price of the last one and that was only 6 years ago.

I am not sure what the issue would be using a car bel housing if the talent is there to shoehorn a bb into the frame hooking up the clutch should be a simple fabrication item. Also doesn't look like this is a work truck...
