Ok yall update time. The 1980s booster and master cylinder worked just fine. Only difference is the bolt hole where thr pedal and booster are bolted together is smaller. So need a smaller bolt to connect the two. Outside of that it was plug and play.
I did, but i know it's not the master cylinder or the booster bc the brake pedal is still tough to move when it's not connected to anything. Had hoped to swap out the pivot shadt bushings yesterday but it rained all day.
Ok yall got an update. It's not the booster. I removed the pedal from the booster and there is a decent amount if pressure needed to pull the pedal back. I lubed it up and that seemed to help but it's still a little stiff and booster isn't pushing the pedal all the way back up. I'm wondering if...
Thanks for the feedback yall. I should have a booster and master cylinder coming but it's for an 84 or 85 ram. It looks like it might work but we will see. I'll post an update and if it doesn't work I'll shoot them a message. Thanks again for the advice, it's much appreciated.
Hey guys. Got my everything from the master cylinder to rear wheel cylinders replaced on the truck. Had to swap out the axle seals in it as well. Went to bleed the brakes and the pedal won't come off the floor. Felt like 50 pound weights when I reached down to pull the pedal back up. Removed the...
Thanks for the post don, that's pretty interesting. I have a 74 with a 72 tank, the fuel neck to gad tank connection is going to be interesting to say the least. Thanks for letting me know about the gas tank and straps working, there is a pull a part down the road from me with a 90s Dakota in...
Hey guys, does anyone know if I order the gas tank straps from lmc if they will fit on my 74 d100? I think the straps 80-89 or something like that. If they do not work I'd be happy to buy off a member if anyone has a set. Thanks again guys.
Yeah the one I'd be looking for is wide with black painted inset I belive. It came on the adventurer and custom trim iption as far as.i could tell. But it's the same one on the truck in my profile pic. Thanks again for the insight captain. I don't know a ton about the trucks, so I appreciate the...
Are you asking about the trim or heater box? Trim id like the skinny aluminum trim with the black paint in the middle. For ac box I think any would work from 72-79.
Thanks for the info captain. I've never used rightstuff but did look at them. Inline tube I've used a couple of times, only downside is they don't offer a kit for the club cab. They did say I could take the long brake line that ties the front and rear together (if that makes sense) and send it...
This is where I found the 71 charger. Not a bad deal for $500. Bought it from an old man in the next town over. He has all kinds of stuff out there, only down side is all of it has been sitting forever and rotting out in the mud and pine straw.
The 75 dodge dart was the first car I ever did body and paint work on, I fixed most of it when I went to school for auto body and street rod and customizing. The 71 Charger I found in the woods, it had been sitting there since 1984, so there is a ton of work to do on it (I'll post pics of when I...
Thanks man. I thought about making the lines, the only thing that made me nervous was the flaring part. I've never done it but remember watching my uncles when I was kid and all the cursing and yelling when it didn't work lol. I might google that hydraulic tool and watch a YouTube vid on it...
