I am very partial to the Silverado, but I have one and I am very familiar with them. I have worked on them since they were new. But on the other hand if treated well that 300 should run forever. Do you need 4wd or can you get by with a 2wd. I won't be without a 4wd
Temps returned to normal January, 20's maybe close to 30. The last couple of days have been windy though, 20's with wind chill feels like single digits, BRRR.
8 or 10 speed? I haven't heard of too many issues with the 10 speed, but the 8 speed has had some issues. GM started using Mobil 1 LV trans fluid because of shudder issues and they have programming updates for shifting issues
It snowed Thursday night into Friday morning, about 3 to 4". It got cold last night, into the teens. Cold today also, temp in the teens, and tonight it got even colder. We came back from the store and my wife's Buick said it was -6.
