1990 D150 turn signal switch

I want to help a neighbor replace their turn switch in their '90 D150. Looking on a number of sources all I find are switches for tilt columns and his is a fixed column. Are sellers correct that there are two separate switches that are not interchangeable ? Have an NOS '87 switch for a fixed colum, is that also correct for the '90 fixed column ?
 
If someone had a parts truck/ column with no steering wheel and could post a pic of turn signal switch for a '90 non-tilt column that would help too.
 
The '87 fixed column switch should work fine on the '90, Dodge didn't change much on those D150s between those years.
 
Thanks for responding brazil4monkey. Convinced neighbor let me take truck apart before knowing I have replacement parts at the ready.
