I have a 1986 D-250 that I need to match the paint on. It's light metalic blue & definitely original paint. It does not have a code on the door jamb sticker or on the sticker I found in the glove box, which I believe is the one that was originally attached to the underside of the hood & the V.I.N. numbers match the dash plate, door jamb & riveted fender/cowl panel numbers, so where if anywhere on the riveted cowl plate, would the paint code be? I looked up what I think is the correct color & it say's C2 or DT8852. I cannot find these #s anywhere. There was no front sheet metal on the truck when I got it.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks. P.S. Picture is of the color on the passenger floor

Ice blue is one of the hardest colors to match when not paint a whole side
Yep! Any metalic is kind of hard to match, even for a pro painter, which I am not. I was just going to paint the inner fenders, bumper filler & radiator support before I install them. I will probably leave the fenders & hood in primer for now. Wiring it & firing it is the most difficult part right now. The truck has been sitting in a warehouse for almost 25 years.
