I got an unmolested 1986 D-250 that was sitting in a warehouse for almost 25 years. I don't know if the engine is good but, it's in pretty good shape aside from the missing front sheet metal (Which I acquired all of last year) that was removed because of an accident & was going to be repaired. I will need a bunch of things because it has been sitting for all that time, but the price was right. (I got it in exchange for doing some work for the owner) it has a clean title too. Hard to believe it sat in a warehouse all these years, that stored steel coils, from 20,000 lbs. to 50,000 lbs. & were & STILL shipping & receiving them every day, tons of them, & didn't get any damage! I will see what it takes to get it running first as the complete under hood wiring harness was CUT OFF! It's a 318 with the NP245 4speed trans & needs a good power washing, as you'll see, it's covered in 25 years of dust. I'll post up some after washing pictures also. I'll get decent money for the utility body on the back. It's in pretty good shape too, all the doors work & I even have the keys to lock them. I may keep it of fix it & sell it, who knows yet. I will have pictures of it later today most likely, if I can, for sure by mid week

This is before I power washed it. It had way more dirt & dust on it before I trailered it home. It's a very solid truck.

This thing is SUPER solid all around, especially for a Dodge truck from the rust belt. Sitting inside well over half its life surely helped it. I'm working on getting the seat out & will need a friend help doing so, as to not damage the mat or sound deadener with the studs of the seat. After I remove all that stuff, I'll get more pics of the floor & body after a good cleaning. I'm still shocked at how clean this thing is, even underneath. I hit the jackpot on this one. The enclosed utility body will be sold for sure.

Why didn't they fix it 25 years ago? Bent frame? I'd start that thing up before I power washed it or did any other major work.

Easier said than done. I don't know why it wasn't fixed. Lost interest maybe. I checked it over to see any frame damage & only found the right upper frame rail tweaked down a bit, that's it. If you look closely, you'll see the wire harness coming out of the cab has been cut off, along with some other wires, & what you see is how the truck came, no front sheet metal, now harness, it was all MIA & I could not find any of it, that's why I haven't gotten it running yet. It was covered in dirt & dust from sitting so long & needed a good power washing before I started doing anything. I will get it running before I spend any money on it but also seeing how bad any rust is too. This thing is solid & I'm convinced it should be fixed. I took more pics of the floors after moving the rubber mat aside. You don't find trucks this clean in the rust belt, where I'm from.

I don't like to power wash an engine I can't start right back up. Too much chance of getting moisture inside that might damage things. Good luck!

I see the wiring unhooked from the engine Long ago some people would take the front end off to change a engine

From what I was told by the owner's nephew, it was in an accident & that's why the front-end sheet metal was removed by the guy. I don't know the full story but, in seeing the great condition this thing is in, I'll put an engine in it if I need to but, I don't think there's a problem with it running well. I don't get some of the things the owner did when he removed the front end but at this point, I'm going to see what it takes to get it running first. I have everything I need in my collection of Mopar stuff, so it won't cost me a dime to hear it run. I'm getting rid of the pollution control stuff first to swap over to regular electronic ignition. I am also selling the Reading utility body as it's in good shape & I have the keys to the door locks, & they all work.
