    57 Dodge shackle bushing

The only luck I had was with a company called Rare Parts in Stockton CA. I got a direct replacement shackle/bushing assembly and two steering parts from them I was unable to find anywhere. Perfect matches and very happy with them. I tried to e-mail them direct, but they did not reply. I...

    57 Dodge shackle bushing

On my D100 leaf spring assemblies, all my bushings were worn but ok and tightened up fine except one. Does anybody out there have one to sell or a good source to find one. These are the strange and course threaded bushings that the U-shape shackle screws into the inside thread and the outside...

    drum brake wheel studs

Yes, but not all and I will. They have come up with the same .645" diameter that is too large.

    drum brake wheel studs

I have a 57 D100 with drums and need a few new right handed studs. These are the non-serrated flat head style. All I can find online that say are supposed to fit, list the size that presses into the drum as .645" but all mine measure about .629". Been there before trying to press in a stud that...

    1957 Dodge D100 Fuel Tank

I have struck out myself, after looking hard for a replacement. Don`t know what else fits. I see some places that promises to take your tank and repair it including pin holes of which mine has plenty. Has anyone had luck using a company to do this? Like gastankrenu.com?

    original springs, keep or not?

The numbers I have on my case are 1634983 and a W5 inside of a raised block. The truck is an original pushbutton automatic behind a V8 which is why I bought it as I thought it very cool to have in a truck. Unfortunately the original motor and tranny was gone and Im putting in a 1965 poly 318 in...

    original springs, keep or not?

Well my manual says the gears ratio would be either a 4.89 to 1 or 4.78 to 1 which looks about right when I spin it. I think set of 3.23 to 1 would be good so I can drive it all over and hopefully it`s interchangeable with later 8 3/4 if that`s what it actually is. More investigation and help...

    original springs, keep or not?

Yeah, I believe I will keep the original springs as the arch does look ok. And replacing the bushings for sure. Seeing as the replacement shocks are not that different a cost from the helper shocks, figure I may as well get the helpers as it can only assist whatever sag is there after 60 years...

    original springs, keep or not?

I have the original springs on my 57 Dodge D100 in very good shape. Deciding if I should replace during my complete resto just because they are old or clean/paint and reinstall? Also if I reinstall would the helper springs be a good idea like Kanter sells to get back a little of any sag or just...
